Paragliding in Granville /
Donville-les-Bains

A unique and magnificent site offering a breathtaking spectacle! Flying over the cliffs of Granville provides a stunning view of the whole town and the entrance to the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel. Alongside the seagulls, come and admire the harbour, the upper town, the casino and the Plat Gousset, whilst watching the Chausey archipelago come into view.
Practical information: The take-off point is at the end of Rue de la Douane in the town of Donville-les-Bains (50350). There are plenty of parking spaces before and after the take-off area, which is marked by picnic tables.
Carolles and the Lude Valley

A breathtaking view over the stretches of beach at Jullouville, Kairon and Saint Pair, with the Granville headland on one side, and to the west the Cancalaise headland and the coastline of Brittany.
When the weather is favourable, this spot offers the chance to fly across the Lude Valley and over the Vauban huts.
Practical information: You’ll need to park at the Croix Paqueray car park, which is signposted. Then, take the coastal path that runs along the cliff before opening out onto a plain: this is the take-off area.

Champeaux, in the heart of the Bay

“The most beautiful kilometre in France”: that’s the nickname given to the magnificent cliffs of Champeaux, which line one of the world’s most beautiful bays.
These cliffs, whose scenery changes with the tides, will stay with you in your dreams for many nights to come!
Please note: it is not possible to fly over the bay by paraglider; the flight follows the cliffs.
Practical information: On the cliff road, park in the large car park 200 metres from the restaurant “Au Marquis de Tombelaine”. You then need to walk along the road for 100 metres to reach the take-off point, below the field. Please take care not to damage the crops!
Les Roches de Ham

In the heart of the Normandy countryside, in a bend of the River Vire, lies this wonderful flying spot.
Gazing out over this lush, idyllic setting from a little height is sure to leave a lasting impression.
Food is available on site at the Roches de Ham crêperie.
Practical information: Park in the official car park at the top of Les Roches de Ham, then take the path leading down to the crêperie. Just past the crêperie, keep to your left; the take-off point is 150 metres further on in a small field.mp

In the event of bad weather…
If conditions are not suitable for flying over the southern Manche region, you can travel to the Cotentin (Barneville-Cartret, Vauville, Baie d’Ecalgrain), the Calvados coast (Commes-Port-en-Bessin, Vierville) or Swiss Normandy (Clécy-Saint-Omer, Saint-Marc-d’Ouilly).
