Granville/ Donville-les-Bains
A unique and magnificent site offering a breathtaking spectacle! Flying over the cliffs of Granville provides an unparalleled view of the entire town and the entrance to the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel. Alongside the seagulls, admire the port, the upper town, the casino, and the Gousset plateau while watching the Chausey archipelago come into view.
Practical information: The take-off point is located at the end of Rue de la Douane in the town of Donville-les-Bains (50350). There is ample parking before and after the launch area, which is marked by picnic tables.
Carolles and the Lude valley
A breathtaking view of the vast beaches of Jullouville, Kairon, and Saint Pair, with the Pointe de Granville on one side and, to the west, the Pointe de Cancale and the coastline of Brittany.
When the weather is favorable, this site offers the opportunity to fly over the Vallée du Lude and soar above the Vauban huts.
Practical information: Park in the signposted Croix Paqueray parking area. Then, take the coastal path that runs along the cliff before opening onto a plain: this is the launch area.
Champeaux, in the heart of the bay
“The most beautiful kilometer in France”: that’s the nickname given to the magnificent cliffs of Champeaux, which border one of the most beautiful bays in the world. These cliffs, with their ever-changing landscapes depending on the tides, will haunt your dreams for many nights to come!
Be careful, paragliding over the bay and the mount is not possible; flights are conducted along the cliffs.
Practical information: On the road to the cliffs, park in the large parking lot 200 meters from the restaurant “Au Marquis de Tombelaine.” Then, walk along the road for 100 meters to reach the launch site, located below the field. Please be careful not to damage the crops!
In case of bad weather
If the conditions are not right to take you into the sky of South Manche, it is possible to travel to the Cotentin (Barneville-Cartret, Vauville, Baie d’Ecalgrain), on the Calvados coast (Commes-Port-en-Bessin, Vierville) or in the Suisse Normande (Clécy-Saint-Omer, Saint-Marc-d’Ouilly).
